Back in 1850s, Pioneering Nurse Florence Nightingale coined the concept that sunlight is the best medicine which laid the foundation for light therapy.

Since then, science has proven that the correct use of lighting colour critically affects our moods and emotions. The deliberate use of both sunlight and artificial light can help to relieve stresses and provide the necessary healing.

Modern Application

Based on studies from a 2017 PLOS ONE research, blue colour light is able to help individuals to reduce stress and achieve relaxation 3 times faster than white light. 

And based on the research from World Journal of Biological Psychiatry, it is found that blue light helps us to be more alert and focused which is helpful for studying and working.
